If you are looking to join a cycle club, this page will hopefully provide a taste of what the West Kent Road Club can offer.
The club was formed some 90 years ago as the racing off shoot of the Cycle Touring Club. In the early days, club runs would take all day with trips to the coast and stops for both lunch and dinner. Today the club has a broad range of membership comprising those who just want to ride with others through to those who compete on a weekly basis.
Cycle club evenings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at the Wilmington Memorial Hall, Martin Road, Wilmington starting around 8pm. These evenings are a chance to share stories, race and training tips and plan future events.
Joining the club is simple and all that we ask is that for insurance purposes, you are a member of either the Cycling UK or British Cycling.

Enjoy a ride with the club
The best part of being a club member is joining with other cyclists and riding as part of a group. You are more than welcome to join us for a club run. All that you need to bring is a couple of spare inner tubes, plenty of water or energy drink and some money for the cafe stop. You may also want to put some snacks in your back pocket.
Members of the club occasionally join together for a cycling holiday and trips to Sportives. There is nothing more enjoyable than a cycling holiday on your bike. In recent years, club members have been to France to follow Le Tour for a week in the mountains. Others have grouped together trips to Spain and Majorca.
